The rights of students to safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environments comes with responsibilities for teachers, staff and school boards to create and maintain these environments.
Some of these responsibilities are written directly into laws and policies; others come from best practices shown to make schools safer and more supportive for queer students. Here are a few specific examples.
