What to Do if You Think Your Rights Have Been Violated

2. Talk to Someone at School

It is often most helpful to resolve issues within your school – but only if you feel it safe and appropriate to do so. You might try talking to a trusted teacher, counsellor, or staff member or discussing the issues with your principal, if you feel comfortable.

Tip: Check if your school or school board already has policies on things like bullying or discrimination. Knowing these rules can help you push for action.
