Vous ne pouvez pas \u00eatre trait\u00e9 diff\u00e9remment - discrimin\u00e9 - par la loi sur la base de caract\u00e9ristiques telles que la race, la religion, le sexe et le handicap. Au fil du temps, les tribunaux canadiens ont reconnu d'autres caract\u00e9ristiques comme \u00e9tant prot\u00e9g\u00e9es de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re, telles que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canlii.org\/en\/ca\/scc\/doc\/1995\/1995canlii98\/1995canlii98.html?resultId=2dd277b63545412286cd81eb4861afc7&amp;searchId=2025-09-09T12:46:17:580\/ce94803a92b7454ba0e8d39cc29f2e54\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l'orientation sexuelle<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canlii.org\/en\/ab\/abqb\/doc\/2014\/2014abqb237\/2014abqb237.html?resultId=7ef03ff0b955487196fbc06815c08854&amp;searchId=2025-09-09T12:48:08:101\/93de91150088410c8689950fdea965d7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l'identit\u00e9 de genre<\/a>et l'expression de genre. Toutefois, ces d\u00e9cisions de justice ne peuvent s'appliquer qu'\u00e0 la province dans laquelle elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rendues.<\/p>\n<p>En plus de la <em>Charte<\/em>En ce qui concerne les droits de l'homme, chaque province et territoire dispose de ses propres lois sur les droits de l'homme qui vous prot\u00e8gent contre la discrimination fond\u00e9e sur l'orientation sexuelle, l'expression et l'identit\u00e9 de genre, ainsi que sur de nombreuses autres caract\u00e9ristiques. Il s'agit souvent d'un code ou d'une loi sur les droits de l'homme.  Bien que le<em> Charte <\/em>La l\u00e9gislation sur les droits de l'homme, qui prot\u00e8ge contre la discrimination due aux actions et aux acteurs gouvernementaux, prot\u00e8ge les droits dans les secteurs public et priv\u00e9, y compris l'\u00e9ducation, les soins de sant\u00e9 et le logement.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"divider-wrap\" data-alignment=\"default\"><div style=\"height: 25px;\" class=\"divider\"><\/div><\/div><h3 style=\"color: #49479d;text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >\u00c9galit\u00e9, \u00e9quit\u00e9 et \u00e9galit\u00e9 r\u00e9elle<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t<p>Parfois, le fait de traiter tout le monde \"de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re\" entra\u00eene des injustices. Par exemple, si une \u00e9cole exige que chaque \u00e9l\u00e8ve porte un uniforme \"masculin\" ou \"f\u00e9minin\", cela peut sembler \"\u00e9gal\" sur le papier, mais c'est injuste pour les \u00e9l\u00e8ves transgenres ou non binaires. Au Canada, nos tribunaux ont reconnu que le fait de traiter tout le monde exactement de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re produira probablement des r\u00e9sultats diff\u00e9rents pour diff\u00e9rentes personnes, en fonction de leurs avantages et d\u00e9savantages sociaux. C'est pourquoi le droit canadien stipule clairement que lorsque nous parlons d'\u00e9galit\u00e9, nous ne parlons pas de traiter tout le monde de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re. <em>exactement<\/em> (c'est ce qu'on appelle l'\"\u00e9galit\u00e9 formelle\"), alors qu'il s'agit plut\u00f4t de <strong>l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 r\u00e9elle<\/strong>ou l'\u00e9quit\u00e9. Cela signifie que chacun doit recevoir le soutien dont il a besoin. <em>besoin, <\/em>m\u00eame si elle est diff\u00e9rente de celle des autres.<\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9coles doivent prendre des mesures actives pour s'assurer que votre droit \u00e0 l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 est respect\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole.
